One thing to keep in mind (and is something I kinda wish this article had mentioned) is the fact that a lot of the most popular posts there turn out to be trolling.

There are plenty of people who try to go viral by coming up with a story that is just the right combination of "horrible + no self awareness," which is exactly the sort of thing that leads to a post making it to the front page. Just remember, when scrolling through the sub, that there's a good chance whatever you're reading is just a bored teenagers' creative writing exercise.

That said, the sub is still fascinating. Because just the fact that so many of these unhealthy, sexist domestic dynamics are familiar to so many people tells you a lot about our culture, even if the stories themselves might not be real
